I live in California where there is lots of rocks and techy sections on the trails. I am also used to riding nice full suspension bikes but am looking at the aventon ramblas, if I replaced to fork for a high end rockshox zeb and the tiers for tubeless would you say it’s capable and almost as comfy as a full suspension? Please help 🙏 thanks

The beauty of having a motor is hills can be super easy , or you can change up gears to make you do more work, or decrease asistance level.

Been riding mine for a year. Super fun to drive. Love the tire size and belt drive. Yes the battery life sucks, but the price is really competitive. It seems that the motor doesn’t engage sometimes until I stop pedaling for a moment.

I've got a hub drive. For a mid drive a belt and internal geared hub would be my choice for drivetrain longevity

How much vibration makes it through the handlebars? I contacted them and found that a suspension stem can’t be installed, for me it’s a deal breaker. I have 15k miles on a bike that until I added the suspension stem wasn’t comfortable.

The mid drive is just more practical. At least it is a separate part than the others and not in the wheel system.

If you want to get your beak wet on a cheap but decent mini ebike, get the jetson bolt pro. Has plenty of online reviews. Only $300.

If you are riding on a road at high speed gearless hub drive can't be dollar for dollar. Biggest downside is going to be weight. At low speed geared hub drive wins. Mid drive fills the gap but is also the most expensive option. A side note gear changes are generally going to be much easier on a hub drive. One thing to consider is the mid drives peak rpm which is often much higher than anyone would ever pedal. So yeah it CAN use all the gears but at the same times often robs you of any chance to help the motor along at top motor efficiency.

I bought this bike, specifically the 6, I can’t wait to get it. I already own an enduro ebike but I wanted something for easy zone 2 rides that makes my local XC trails fun.

I have been retired for 5 years and have 14K on my pedal bike a Giant Toughroad. I really like the bike but as I age an e-bike to assist up the hills would be nice. I added a suspension stem to the Toughroad but I see that some bikes are routing the wires through the stem so I think the Velotric is not going to work.

I love my XP 3.0 but just wish they would give us more stem options, I still think the giraffe stems are pretty unappealing on the foldable bikes

Love to see kids riding and wearing helmets. But please make her wear shoes. Seeing her ride without shoes raises my heart rate.

I was going to get this, but I got the Powerfly 4 gen 4 because of the bigger motor & battery. I ride on pavement and I put hookworms on it. I get 40-50 miles a charge with 10-20% left over. However, I think I would have been just as happy with the Marlin. 👍 Happy Trails

I think it’s a great bike but there’s so many manufactures that are discounting their full suspension emtbs to $3500 it’s overpriced in this market.

no rear suspension,no triple tree forks, useless for me, and way out of my budget anyway. my 55-year-old back and tailbone hurts without it.

Where I live this bike would be stolen in minutes, plus I can buy a very reliable scooter for this kind of money.

I have the older Cane Creek Thud Buster LT on my road bike. I like it a lot and it claims to have 90mm of travel. I don’t know if that is correct? But it sure makes the bad roads more rideable!

Not worth it anyway. Maintaining it is to costly, replacing parts and battery. Not to mention catching on fire. E-bikes are also very limited in service areas. Buy one locally that services them and can source the parts and hope that place doesn’t go out of business. This will limit your choice to one maybe two brands. And then the headache of where you can ride it.

Any e-bikes that can go 30mph (by throttle)?

I’m curious if you also went tubeless on this bike. Looking at these now and haven’t found info yet on whether the rims are tubeless ready or not. Appreciate your knowledge, bike looks great!

I burned my Aventon Aventure 2 motor up climbing a steep paved mountain road. I climbed up about 1800 feet in 8 miles. That’s all the bike could handle. I had to peddle non-assist or coast 8 miles back to my car. I took my bike back to the bike shop where I bought it and they replaced the motor. Good thing Aventon has a 2 year warranty. I only had 67 miles on my bike. I wish I would have bought the E-cells Super Monarch but it’s not advertised as much as the Aventure is.

Makes me wonder how would a full suspension bike feel with seatpost suspension and stem suspension added 😂

I love my Urrun, especially at 52. Great for exploring, good battery life, heaps of attachment points. The full suspension version, the Rise is $1500+ more expensive. I didn't buy the Urrun to do crazy down hills, I've a Orbea Occam for that, I didn't buy the Urrun for all day trail/road rides, I've a gravel bike for that although i am thinking about changing the tyres to something less aggressive and adding a range extender, thats how much i love this bike.

I have watched many of the reviews of the Trike and have heard many customers have complained about damage during shipping especially the fenders and wheels on the Trike. Has there been any improvement on how the Trike is packaged and to protect these parts with more robust packing materials? The second big complaint seems to be with the Trike being oily especially the brake disks, pedals, tires etc., has this issue been addressed?. Most of these complaints seem to be 6 months or more old...any updates on these...Thanks!!

I heard you can feel the drag and loke you have to quit pedaling because of the way they did the torque sensor or you'll be ghost pedaling. I want to buy it though, wish i could test but i may have to just order lol

didn't mention the throttle delay on hub motors, it takes a good seconds before it starts and keeps going for a second when you stop peddling.

Get a class 3 ebike with full rack and fenders and the largest size battery you can get. Keeping up better with car traffic makes me for more comfortable on the road, and i can cover vast distances more comfortably.
